West Nile Virus: Avoid mosquito bites to prevent infection

PHEREC New Employee: Don Kogut joined the Alternative Control Technology Section (ACTS) April 2009. Don does “a little bit of everything” in ACTS, colony work rearing Aedes albopictus and Culex quinquefasciatus , blood-feeding adult mosquitoes, and participating in field work with Dr. Cilek. During July, Don will be doing collections out at the airport and at a fresh water swamp at Callaway where a home owner has given permission to work on his property. Don, Welcome to PHEREC!

Claudia Ridgely left the Larvicide and Resistance Assessment Section [LRAS] on April 10, 2009. Claudia did a great job. We will miss her!!

Peggy Park departed the PEIS Section on July 22, 2009.  Cate Brock wrote a special testimonial that was published in "PHEREC NEWS Special Edition."
