Mosquito Control Online is a new intranet Web site developed and maintained by Harry
Zhong. Currently, this site offers several useful services for the mosquito control
community and the general public: (1) the Pesticide Non-Target Database which is a
searchable publication database with 1140 records (2) Discussion Forum currently with five
sections available to post messages: adult mosquito control; larval mosquito control;
arboviruses; mosquito rearing, biology, physiology & ecology; and pesticide non-target
impact (3) an opinion poll and (4) online documents. The web address is http://mosquito.intranets.com Login as a guest. Guest users may download, but can not upload documents to the site. The Pesticide Non-Target Database is a valuable resource that has taken many years to develop. Until the intranets service became available the Non-Target Database was not available online. Because this is a new service, the design and content are dynamic. However, the goal is to make this online resource useful to mosquito control personnel. So, please visit the site.
