Cindy Mulla and Eric Cope have recently joined the Disease Ecology and Control Section headed by Dr. John Smith.  Cindy previously worked for PHEREC as an OPS part-time employee.  Now Cindy works full-time assembling bird traps, charging dry cells,  identifying mosquitoes as part of arbovirus surveillance, and writing SOPs [Standard Operating Procedures] for the field program.

Eric Cope will be assisting with the setting and maintenance of field traps.  Eric and Cindy have been busy testing traps for the collection of wild birds and preparing mosquito traps for the current arbovirus season.  Eric will be responsible to supplying the field crews in several mosquito control districts that are collaborating with PHEREC this year.
