| The Entomological Society of
America held its annual meeting December 3-6, 2000 at the Palais des Congres de Montreal,
Canada. PHEREC was well represented at the meeting. Dr. John Smith and co-authors T.
Floore, J. Petersen & K. Shaffer presented a poster “Outdoor evaluation of
several commercial mosquito repellents.” Dr. James E. Cilek presented a 12-minute paper “Culicoides trap out studies in north Florida.” Dr. J. Petersen moderated the Informal Conference “Peace Corps Experiences Contributing to a Career in Entomology.” and gave two 15-minute presentations: “Onchocerciasis in Burkina Faso” & “Master’s International Program– Global Partnerships.” He Zhong, J. Dukes, M. Greer, & P. Hester authored a poster “Drift deposition profile following aerial ULV mosquito adulticide application using two nozzle systems.” Dr. J. Dukes contributed to the editing of this PHEREC News report. |
